Professor Sankar K. Pal, former Director and former President of ISI, will be conferred the "INAE Life Time Contributions Award in Engineering 2026"

On 04 December 2026, Professor Sankar K. Pal, former Director and former President of ISI, will be conferred the "INAE Life Time Contributions Award in Engineering 2026" for his outstanding fundamental research contributions to machine intelligence and for pioneering development of fuzzy set theory, neuro-fuzzy and granular computing and their translation to pattern recognition/image/video processing and knowledge-based systems in the Country.
